Hundreds of scar trees, dead and alive remain standing in North Western NSW. They bear testament to the thousands of years of Aboriginal occupation and farming of this region. Bark and wood from a variety of trees was used for housing, weapons, traps, tools, canoes, containers and other artefacts as well as for ceremonial and cultural purposes. This website aims to share photos and information to better understand our history as it is written on these trees.
